Macbeth-Estrada
APRN, BC
Heather is proudly a 6th generation B.O.I. After going to nursing school at UTMB and receiving her BSN, she traveled throughout Texas, Florida and California while working in many different fields of nursing. From ICU to Home Health, she has always had a strong connection with her patients, and has felt this as a true calling in her life. While living in California and raising her 2 daughters, she returned to school to achieve a long desired goal of getting her Masters in Nursing from UCLA, specializing in Adult Health as a Nurse Practitioner. She was a student in the NIOSH’s ERC at UCLA’s School of Public Health, and received additional training in occupational health.
Since becoming a Nurse Practitioner, she has worked in Primary Care, Pain Management and Occupational Health. After seeing the many changes in healthcare, and how traditional western medical care was never treating the root cause, she began to study and practice functional nutrition. Her goal is to educate people on how to live a healthy lifestyle, the importance of functional mobility and exercise, and the secret to a long and joyous life.
